What a beautiful shot Carletta! It's such a pretty delicate flower. A great remedy for poison ivy too!

Brightly colored beauty! Does it curl up when touched or ?? (I guess I'll have to Google it.) I do know about Impatiens (although never in this gorgeous color).

Why should this pretty flower carry such an unfortunately intimidating name? Is it poisonous?
I like your shot though.

I've never seen this flower. Such a beauty! I wonder where it gets its name. Is it poisonous, or does it close up if touched, or what?

I love these little blossoms - and so do the hummingbirds. This is a beautiful photo.

READERS: The plant isn't poisonous. The name refers to the explosive dehiscence of the seed capsules. The mature capsules burst, sending seeds up to several meters away.
