Carletta....The Downeys are back..goodie goodie. We went to WV weekend before last for Buddy to run in the Mountain Trilogy. Stayed in Franklin and drove that grim mt in the fog 4 separate round trips. I have posted several series with the titles Mountain Trilogy i, ii, iii. I also posted a funky chapel in a house. I will be posting barns from WV later in the week. I am curious to know if you recognize anything. Hope you are well. genie

Wonderful capture - those little guys are hard for me to capture - they move so quickly.

Isn't she just beautiful? I have several, and do so enjoy watching them. They even brought the "kids" this summer.

She's very pretty!!!

And Carletta, I read your newest post on the bus shelters. Interesting. We didn't have anything like this in Colorado when I was growing up. And I lived in the foothills. We had to 'weather the storms' in the open. But, interesting none the less.

Splendid photograph of this beauty!
We see them often here and had a pair nest in the yard a couple of years ago.

Nice post!

Great little bird - we have no woodpeckers in Australia - so I always like seeing then on blogs!
