So that's the chipping sparrow! I get bird reports all the time that mention these and I was too lazy to look them up. These are wonderful, crisp shots!

Good to see you back posting again. I have not had any chippers go through yet. They never come to my feeders! So I learned something from your post.

Hi Carletta, Welcome back.. I took a week off also when we went to the beach last week. Had a great time. Hope you did also.

Such a good portrait of this little sweetheart. Interesting feeder mix...we always just used black sunflower seed because more birds seemed to like it.

Welcome back. I took a week off last week, so it hardly seemed like you were gone!

Lovely shots Carletta. The first shot could have been taken on my garden feeder, except it's the wrong species of Sparrow!

The first photo is so nice! I'm not sure we have this bird in Sweden, but it looks a bit like our House Sparrow.

What a delight!!!! All we see in our yard at the feeders are House Sparrows. Your photos are superior.

Sweet photos of these delightful sparrows. I like how they appear to be getting along at the feeder in the bottom photo.

Such sweet Sparrows. I get the Chipping Sparrows confused with others often. The top image, so darling!
