Gorgeous photo, Carletta. Those red-wings are around here --but they never come close to the house.. SO--I've never gotten a photo of them...Hugs,Betsy
so very handsome! great photo!
What a handsome fellow! A great capture!
Oh he's beautiful! Fabulous shot!
Hi Carletta, glorious photo! I just love these birds.
Great capture, Carletta. We never see those here in town but they are out in the fields. If and when the snow ever melts and it warms up I hope to spend a day birding.
We always have them at our feeder during spring too. Very pretty picture!
I was this close (insert Get Smart voice, thumb and index finger inches apart) to using some pictures of crows/black birds I snapped from the back door the other day for my post today. They will probably make an appearance mid week - and are not nearly as good this shot.Very nice!
Nice shot of a very interesting bird. Red wings are so active and saucy.
Nice shot. Was that taken at a bird sanctuary or in the wild? I noticed the perch. Either way a great shot!
HI DAVID: THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN THROUGH MY SUNROOM WINDOW. THE BIRD IS PERCHED ON THE TOP OF THE HOOK THE BIRD FEEDER HANGS FROM.
The picture of the red-winged blackbird is awesome!
What a gorgeous bird - and shot!
Wow that splash of red makes it look quite exotic. I bet its the male.
A great photo of one of my favorite birds.
A lovely post for WBW!Well done!
You caught that Red-wing so very nicely!
Beautiful! I have seen a few of these around too.
That little splash of red on his sleek black body is just so eye-catching!
Wow! The red sure stands out against the black, doesn't it?
I love the Red Wing Blackbirds. They nest in the wetlands by me and come to my feeders all of the time. They can be rowdy, but they are always beautiful ... even the female is beautiful in her own way. Lovely picture,Carletta.Andrea @ From The Sol
That's a wonderful photo! Thanks for sharing!
Very regal looking bird! Great shot!
Such a beautiful bird! :)
That red winged bird is a beauty and great capture!Have a great day!Shantana
these birds hang out in the marshes around here. I like watching them fly from grass clump to grass clump. Nice shot.
Great photo of a very beautiful bird.
I love my red-wings! Got my first pictures of them last summer, in Colorado and again in Oregon.
So beautiful. Makes me love the colour of red all over again.
Beautiful capture! These birds are so dark that it's hard to do them justice and expose properly, but you did great. I love that you were able to get the deep red in the wing and the catchlight in the eye. I usually blow the red out. :/
The Red-wings are pretty! Great shots, Carletta!
You and I did the same bird this week. Aren't they pretty?
Beautiful splash of color on this bird- nice shot!
Well now, isn't he a cutie pie with his little red shawl on...He looks like he's posing for you....Great shot, Carletta....
nice portrait of one of my favourites. To bad we don´t have it where I live.
I just love those Red-winged Blackbirds and remember their wonderful trilling sounds coming from the reeds. Thanks for reminding me how handsome they are Carletta.
Such a nice photo, Carletta! We have blackbirds in Sweden too and we love their Spring singing! But they don't have any red wings.Greetings Pia
Stunning photo!!! Wow!
Great capture of this handsome bird!
Great photo of a beautiful bird.
Nice picture - I'd love to see one of these birds.I dont suppose the male minds getting teased as long as the eye make-up attracts the ladies!Cheers and thanks for linking to WBW.Stewart M - Melbourne
...it's so HANDSOME
It looks a little wary but so sleek and beautiful.
Outstanding photo of one of my favorites! I love their "rusty gate" call. The female still gives me fits trying to identify her.Nice post!
