love how you caught the details in the feathers of the bird, great capture.

Jays show a lot of attitude so it's hard to say what these two guys might do. Great shot!

Beautiful birds and great photo.

Must be blue jay time--I had a front yard full last week--with red cardinals. The ones here wear more boldly blue--love this soft color. They deserve to be a bit vain--beautiful!

Love it! Being Blue Jays, I'm sure they're up to no good.

I posted a closeup of the "gate to nowhere" that you commented on in my barn post yesterday. I do believe you are right and that poor chicken is guarding nothing!

This is just perfect! The picture would be great anyway, but with the title of your post it is more than wonderful.

They're so beautiful! We rarely see them, and my wife says they can be mean. How can blue be mean?! ...Smurfs are blue!

Carletta said...

Craver my friend, I will not be able to look at these lovely birds ever again without thinking of Smurfs!

Thanks for linking to WBW. I was in Oman all last week, hence the slow reply!

I don't think I've ever seen two so close together; when one arrives, the other departs quickly. One of my favorite birds, they love peanuts, and aren't afraid to come close to get them. Great shot.
