Black-eyed Susans and A Blue-eyed Boy

Today's Flowers
The deer that nibble in my yard almost destroyed my black-eyed susans for a couple of years but they are slowing coming back again. I love their shiny faces greeting me outside my sunroom window.
Here is a closeup in the evening light.

Your Sunday Best
My regular readers know I was away almost a month for one reason or another and I returned with a couple of posts and disappeared again. The smiling little boy above was the reason. Our son called and asked if we wanted to babysit for a week and we said yes right away. Little Sammy's daycare closes for a week so we went out to help out. With that smile how could Grandma and 'Pop,Pop' not say yes!!

Welcome back again!
Mr. Gorilla and I were getting sick and tired of staring at each other! I think I can poke my tongue out now just as provocatively!! ha ha! A sight best imagined and not to be seen!
For reasons I cannot explain, I use your blog to keep a group of 5 websites at the bottom of this computer, saves a lot of fiddling.
So "TexWisGirl" and I have been closely united, thanks "Tex"!
Not that "Tex" has a clue what I have been doing - ha ha!
Good to know that you are doing the grandparent thingy and having so much fun.
Cheers

Weather report: Seems that August fell off the radar here. The most benign month this year. Maybe we will be now getting two Septembers instead - I sure hope so.

Neat comparison of black eyes and blue eyes. I was expecting another flower. Awesome looking grandson.

The flowers are beautiful but not as beautiful as your grandson. He has the best smile.

I can't blame you for saying 'Yes'. Those eyes (the blue ones, not the black ones) would make anyone say 'Yes'.

I love black-eyed Susans too. Mine came from a packet of wildflower seeds a few years ago and they're still propagating.
thanks for the kind words on my blog about my kitty. He was a sweet guy.

Black-eyed susans are such a nice flower - glad they are recovering from the ravages of the deer!

Also glad to see that the cardboard box - that most wonderful of all toys - is alive and well!

No wonder that smile could melt anybody's heart. You must be very busy when he was there I can only imagine you two also crawl and run here and there hahahaha. Thanks for the post.

Awww, Sammy is adorable. Thanks for sharing him and all these lovely flowers with TF today. I'm at a bit of a loss as to why the new TF is not up yet. I have written to Luiz and am hoping that all is okay, and once I have heard from him I will let you know. Thanks for adding your photos to last week and have a great week Carletta.

No hardship to report for duty if it's to care for this little blue-eyed charmer, I'm sure. And the black-eyed susans do give a lot of pleasure for almost no effort, don't they?

They do keep you occupied don't they. Love the eyes, the blue ones and the black ones.

Oh, they are like good medicine! That smile is worth a million dollars.

Unless I have posts about ready to go, I just cannot post much when I have Lorelei...and we are getting her tomorrow. I guess I will just be a part time blogger for a while. It is not long until they are old enough for school, so just want to enjoy her all I can.

Oh, and I LOVE black-eyed susans, too.
