What a great quote from Sophia! I loved the fence photos...especially that last one. Looks like the vines are trying very hard to hide that fence!

Gorgeous photos of wire and wood fencing Carletta!
The last one of the vines climbing up the fence is particularly nice. Thanks for your encouragement re championships- it really helps a lot.

HI Carletta, Great 'rural' pictures of your 'wire and wood'....

I laughed at Sophia's quote.... Guess she wanted to show off her beautiful body... Me???? I try to hide most of mine... ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy

Ha ha Carletta
How brilliant is Sophia Loren?
I think Sophia being photgraphed next to that fence may have considerably improved the "vista"!

I love these shots. There's something fascinating about old fence posts and barbed wire.

Barbed wire and rough-hewn posts are very much like the fences in rural areas of Texas.

Great quote and I love these old wood fence posts-

The wood is aged and yet still standing, could also see the lichens too.

Wood and wire is a great combination.

These are such neat images of old fence posts, Carletta. I wonder how long they have been there? The stories they could tell.

Thank you so much for sharing at Rural Thursdays. I hope you come back again. :)

We have some of that around our place. Beautiful pictures.

Love the light you've captured in these photos and how so many fences are made of just what's available. And Sophia,of all people, could give advice about dressing to attact attention!

That's a real snarl in the bottom picture - I knew a man once who collected barb wire believe it or not.

Old, weather-worn fences like these are my favorites.

What great photos! Rustic fences are my favorite. Barbed wire fences remind me of roses - pretty but watch out for the thorns!
