Ruby Tuesday With Lily and Lucy

My little granddaughters spent the 4th of July at Grandma's house. That is little Lucy on the left and big sister Lily on the right. Both are wearing their red, white, and blue dresses for the holiday.

I LOVE MY SISSY!

Lily also loves her dolly and Grandma's discarded cell phone.

Some of you might remember that old TV show Different Strokes. Sitting in Grandmas rocker Lucy smiles and Lily seems to be doing an imitation of Arnold Jackson with an expression of "what 'chu talkin' 'bout Grandma?"

It nears naptime and Lucy's pensive look tells Grandma the photo session is over.

The little ones are back home and I talked to them and their Mommy today. It seems like little Lucy is no longer so little. She decided Saturday night she was too big for her crib and climbed out. Sunday was spent changing to a big girl bed. As her Mommy said, 'another milestone.'

Posted for Ruby Tuesday.

They're adorable in their holiday dresses. How fun for them to spend the Holiday celebration with Grandma and Grandpa.

And those milestones just come way too quickly don't they?

Cuteness, smiles and plaid sun dresses - what's not to love about these girls? And being the grandma, I hope that attention and a (tiny) bit of spoiling is in order. Lovely!

Oh, for the love of grandchildren. They are truly at gift from the heavens. I have only one granddaughter in contrast to 5 grandsons, so she is the apple of her Baga’s eye. I an going to see her Wednesday til Saturday and cannot wait. My husband is leaving Wednesday morning on Amtrak to hike the Long Trail from Vermont to the Canadian border. I knew I would be lonely so I am going to see my son wife and little Eloise. As a grandmother, I really do love this post. Thanks for sharing your family photos with all of us. Genie

I'm sure you are absolutely delighted when they come to spend the night!

I’M FOND OF CERISE

For red my affection is great,
It’s puce and chartreuse that I hate.
I’m fond of cerise,
It makes a nice piece
Of clothing that looks just first-rate.
