Summer Stock Sunday

Summertime is.....

....sitting quietly in the pool

....wearing wet chalk eye makeup

....stealing kisses from Mommy

....marching in wildflowers with Papaw's brush.

You've just seen my two granddaughters, Lily and Lucy, enjoying the hot summer days in their backyard.

In my backyard the dragonflies are here for summer giving me a chance for some macro work with my camera. If time permits visit my photoblog by clicking on the link in my sidebar to see what I found.

(My regular readers may notice there is no music playing. I removed my Playlist because they began stopping the music and inserting audio ads. My music was for my enjoyment and yours and often tied into my post. It was not for someone to place unwanted ads that I wasn't being compensated for and didn't endorse so it's gone.)

Your granddaughters are lovely little girls and they so seem to enjoy the pool that it is a perfect choice for Summer Stock.

Happy Sunday to you:-)

great summer days pictures. I hadn't noticed that about the play list. Mine just stopped playing the music. I hadn't heard the ads because I hadn't heard anything. If I hear ads I will remove mine as well. Which will be a shame because I really enjoy it.

Summer always seems to say "kid fun" doesn't it? Your grandgirls clearly get this concept!

I scrolled down to the geese too. Around here they're an invasive species. It's too comfortable so they stop migrating and ick...

On my bike ride yesterday (at my link) I saw plenty of evidence that they're around -- all over the sidewalks and boardwalks. I wouldn't mind if they'd clean up after themselves!

I've never seen chalk used as makeup - perhaps I'm lucky! But you are so lucky to have your grandchildren play with you.

Adorable grand-daughters, and sitting by the pool side is really summer time.

Oh my goodness, look how big your granddaughters are getting, and more beautiful than ever. Love the chalk makeup, that's so something Maya would do.

Fantastic macro photos too. Here we've got these deep red dragonflies that hang out around the pool. They're really striking looking but I don't generally bring a camera with me so no chance to shoot them.

Beautiful happy children! And summer in the backyard is such a perfect childhood iconic memory. Looks like PawPaw is training them early to be a big help ;>)...she looks pretty serious with that brush.

They look like they are having a lot of fun! I love the idea of wet chalk eyeshadow! They are such cute girls!

They're both so sweet. It's good that you can enjoy their company.

What precious photos. You're girls are sooo cute. This brought back memories of happy summer days when my boys were young. Their childhood, like summer, was so fleeting.

I share your frustration about unwanted advertising. I have a widget for the moon phases on my other blog, and it now pops up ads. There's just no escaping it anymore.

How I would love to sit in a pool for an afternoon. Great pictures of Lily and Lucy. "Stealing kisses" is so cute!

Sorry I got behind again. I've been on a bead-til-you-bleed kick the last two weeks. I have lots of photos to post...if I ever get them off of the camera. LOL!
