Thursday was a lovely warm day here in my part of West Virginia. When I say warm I mean a wonderful balmy sixty-nine degrees - in February! Late evening I looked out the sliding glass doors of my sunroom and saw robins. Yes, as in more than one. I grabbed my camera and quietly as possible I moved out on to the deck. The light was going pretty quickly and they were pretty far away but I was able to click a few photos with my zoom lens as I watched about ten of these little guys feasting in my yard. I had hoped to get a better photo yesterday but I didn't see any and as it we will be about twenty degrees cooler today I don't blame them if they are hiding. I'm just glad they're back and forecasting Spring!
Three's Company And yes, there's even a little bit of green grass!

I have not seen one here, at my house, yet...but they have been at Sarah's all winter! And I have seen some north of here....so I have no idea how they reason.
Wonderful, green grass and robins. Hopefully spring is very near. Great photos, Carletta!
I can't wait to see my 1st robin! We saw some last Sunday but it was about 60 miles south of here, they have not made it here yet, I keep watching!
are they looking for foo?looks like it..
69 degrees! That's almost hot. Great to see Robins. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
I've enjoyed seeing a few robins in our yard as well. Yeah, Spring is coming! I even saw a yellow dandelion in the lawn, but I'm not quite as happy about that.
Robins! A sure sign of spring. It is much too cold here for robins yet. Love seeing the photos of them.

Gosh - what lovely company!
I haven't seen my first robin yet, but a neighbour friend said he saw one last week in Toronto so they are nearly here. :)
Ours did not leave at all, they stayed even on frigid weather..
That seems so early for them to be there!
Surely this means that Spring is right around the corner!
Its a shame the robins haven't made it to Northern Va yet. I can't wait.
Oh Carletta, it is exciting to see robins. Spring can't be far behind. I am still watching for them here.
What a wonderful surprise ! I haven't seen any birds yet besides magpies, but that's maybe due to my cats !
Always so nice to see the Robins! I love your photos of them. We've seen a couple around here but I don't think they care much for the weather which is warm one day and then really cold the next -- sigh.
Spring has sprung! Aren't they dear birds? Common maybe, but I love them and they are harbingers of that special season. Great pictures.
