Ruby Tuesday: Little Boys and Trains

One day in late October Hubs and I were out on a drive looking at the fall foliage and we came upon this backyard train. I don't know if the owner had been a railroad man or not but the train track covered at least a quarter mile and went through this covered bridge over a small creek. My jaw dropped at the amount of time and work it must have taken to erect such a replica of track and train.
Here you can see the caboose is behind a flat car.
A closeup of the caboose.
We could not see into the other end of the covered bridge but I feel sure we would have seen an engine. All this was about 500 feet off the road on private property. I would have loved to see into the bridge; but more than that I would have loved to see the train running. I can't help but wonder since it is now Christmas time if lights and a Santa might be added.
My Boys
This is my son with our Grandson Sammy. In this photo Sammy is one day short of being one month old. I did not take this photo. It was taken by Rebecca Danzenbaker of Arlington, Virginia. She did a super job capturing father and son.

The son and grandson appear in wonder, this precious new person such a beacon of love and light in each other’s life.

(Not to mention grandma, either :>). A true gift!

The train id great, rolling around the yard and under a nicely detailed covered bridge. All these rubies are wonderful!

Sammy looks just like his father. What a great photo. I love the train. Was it actual size or made to scale? How clever the owner was. You capture the best things. :)

Oh, I would love to have that train for Lorelei!!! Wonderful find.

You have a handsome son and that Sammy! I cannot believe how he has changed in a month...he looks older than a month. To me anyway.

What an intriguing train masterpiece you have captured.
I'd probably contacted the owner and politely asked him about his hobby and love.
I can't help thinking, someone using that amount of time and industry to fulfill a dream, also would like to get some credit for his achievements.

Your son and grandson are so goodlooking and seem to be fully content with just being themselves.
Congratulations and blessings to all of you.
