Camera Critters: Baby Turkeys

Remember readers that I take most of my critter shots from my sunroom window so these aren't fully clear and crisp but I wanted to share a few pictures of mama turkey and her babies. She has been bringing them by for a few weeks now to eat birdseed scattered from the feeder or a little bit of corn that Hubs occassionally throws out. It depends on what's under the oak the days they come visiting. I was disappointed this year that they were almost toddlers before we got to see them but they've been fun visitors nevertheless.
Here the little ones seem to be going head to head and beak to beak for any morsel they can find.
Most times the little ones stay fairly close to mama!
Time to go little ones!

Aw, Carletta, that last pic is so cute! You can just imagine that if she had hands, each one would be holding a little one's hand too!

Isn't it fun to be able to look out your window at nature's bounty? These photos are keepers, for sure! Nice work.

Hi Carletta, adorable shots of Mama and her babies. That last one I'm particularly fond of. Great photos! Sometimes shooting through glass can be hard but you've caught them beautifully.

Hi Carletta, The baby turkeys are precious... I take most of my bird pictures from inside the sliding glass door... Sometimes we just have to do that --to keep from scaring them...

Hope you are having a good day.
Hugs,
Betsy

I haven't seen any turkey in our area so far. I have seen one though when we went down in West Union.

These are wonderful pictures of the baby turkeys. I hope you see lots more of them, at least until Thanksgiving rolls around. Then I hope Mama keeps them hidden!

They sure are cute while they're little, but then, they grow up too fast. I like how they stay so close to momma.

How charming! you have the best views from your window of anyone -- and unless you said something I wouldn't guess they were through glass.
