Mr. Limpet is in my pond!
(much better enlarged)
For those of you too young to remember 'The Incredible Mr. Limpet' was a fantasy movie from the 60's that mixed real-life and animation. Mr. Limpet was played by Don Knotts. Henry Limpet's fondest wish was to be turned into a fish. As a talking fish he assists the US Navy in hunting German submarines during World War II. When I looked at the reflection Mr. Limpet immediately came to mind. I can remember lying on the floor of my parents living room and being mesmerized by his adventure.

That is just picture perfect. Love that fish and the stillness. Beautiful.
I actually have a DVD of The Incredible Mr. Limpet. I won it in a blogger contest.
This photo looks a bit fishy to me [grin] but I like it!

I *do* remember the Incredible Mr. Limpet! Haven't thought of that movie in ages. Wonder if my grandson would enjoy seeing that. I will have to see if I can find it someplace. Very nice reflection!
Great one, Carletta! The images are perfectly captured in that water.

I remember that movie -- it was pretty good. Your fish reflection is wonderful.
Had to be Don Knotts. Nice shot Carletta. Thanks for stopping by. I almost put the third shot first but then I kept the photos in chronological order.
I shot these using Ilford FP4+ B&W film. All 25 shots (I squeezed an extra on the roll) came out. I like to shoot B&W because I don't need to convert and I can process the film myself.
No idea about the movie.
Great one Carletta.
Happy weekend.
This is a really neat shot! It does remind me of "Mr. Limpet". I loved that movie and haven't thought of it in years! Kathy

That's really cute, I didn't know Mr. Limpet but I would rather prefer to be turned into a cat and not a fish, lol !

Great reflection! And only Don Knotts could play a talking fish.
That looks great enlarged! Great capture :)
What would I do without you to take me back into the past? I remember Mr. Limpet and his thrum! This fish does look a bit like Don Knotts with his bug-eyes. :) Wonderful reflection shot, Carletta!

Kiki~
I remember watching that when I was a kid, too.
I cried horribly when he turned back into a fish.
Guess my mind couldn't grasp the fact that he fell in love with a female fish. LOL
