Since my world has been a frozen one for a few days I thought I would share a couple of macros I took yesterday. The first one is a sweet shrub branch encapsulated in ice. I hope if you have a minute you'll enlarge this one and look at the lower right corner of the focused section. I had downloaded the photos and zoomed in to take a look at the different patterns of the ice. I was surprised to see a little blue angel behind the ice. Don't worry if in your imagination you don't see her. That just means she was only meant for me.
This little ice sculpture takes on different appearances depending on how you look at it. When I first downloaded it I thought it looked like the end of an upholstery hammer. A couple of glances later I decided it looked like a bird walking up the stem with a seal following behind. It was a cold day yesterday and I was bored. What can I say!

Love love love your post. Fabulous captures.
Beautiful. They are stunning. I've got souch practice to do with those.
Gratefully to take photographs of these objects in the winter time. Nice shot.
These are amazing and yes I DO see the little angel. How awesome is that!?
Love your macro shots! I did see the angel. Gave me chills. Thanks for sharing.
:) I love them, Carletta!
I can definitely see the hammer and the bird on the second one - I was going to say that even before I read the blog :) Great photos!
They look like chickens pecking at the ground to me. Lovely pictures.
Dismal
love your ice sculptures.:p
yes, it does look like a bird walking and a turtle checking out the branch.:p
Nice that God gives us pauses in life to reflect on his creations and aren't we blessed with imaginations!
I see the angel too! What special images we can see with our imaginations. What a gift...
I can see the blue angel. The enlarged shots are great.
Can you believe I see the essence of your angel...when I just glance I see her but when I really look I don't. Wonder what that says about my eyesight?
the other looks like a briar stuck in the twig.
I love your macro work! In the second shot, I would have said the upper formation was a bird pecking at the ground. I think I see the angel in the first shot, but only because you pointed her out.
Ohmygosh ... I saw the little dancing angel before reading your post. She's lovely ... as are your beautiful icy macros! Thanks so much for sharing ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
Small Reflections
I admit that your frozen pictures are just beautiful and very special, but I long now for spring ! It has snowed here again ! Not much but I am sooooo fat up of this black and white landscape !
This is cute and cool. Happy watery Wednesday.

Looks like a sculpture created in crystal. What a shot! What a creativity!!! Super talent u have
Absolutely stunning captures!!!
Sadly I didn't see the angel..I did enlarge it though and enjoyed the ice patterns magnified.
In the second one I do see the bird and the seal!
Great photos.
What lovely ice pictures! Great macro shots!
cool!
Really beautyful photos in WW and your sepia scenes are suitable for the Valentine´s day.
These are wonderful macros of the ciy branches. Thanks for sharing them with us. And I did see your angel in the first photo.
I love your mini ice sculptures - isn't it amazing how our brain tries to make sense of shapes and images? I love the 'little bird' walking up the branch.
Such pretty shots .. although I can do without the chill that goes with them!
These are lovely. I enjoyed your sepia valentines too.
Lovely ice sculptures! Creative backgrounds, too. My next lens will be a macro, for sure.
Did I read yesterday was your birthday? If so, best wishes!
Stunning!
the angel is beautiful How nice of you to catch a pic of your guardian.
As for the scupture on the stick it looks like a dophin jumping out of the ocean and a seal watching. Ok so I'm different.
