LET IT SNOW!

The Front Yard
The Tree Branches
The Way Out
A Giant Bulb Hanging Outside

This has been my world since Friday night. Yes, it is lovely and just the ticket these few days before Christmas. Should those of you without snow experience a little bit of envy let me tell you that I have also been without electricity since Friday night as well. This post is coming to you because Hubs has a generator going part of the time to warm us up, allow us to cook, and for the most part keep us from being totally miserable. Nights it gets a little cold. The news is reporting electricity should be restored to all by Christmas afternoon. Uh, that's four days away!!!!
A blessful Sunday to you all - keep warm. :)

Oh, dear, good luck with the electricity! The bulb is lovely. Hope it brings you good light and good cheer. We have snow, too, but uneventful - driving is easy again, and snow is all shoveled.

Carletta -- brrrr! I am so glad that you have the generator! When it's off, I'd suggest cuddling!

Merry Christmas.

It is pretty--but that's harsh being without electricity. I thought maybe you had gone on vacation.

Ohhh Carletta! I feeeeeel for you! In '92 - remember the ice storm? WE were without power for almost 2 weeks! (just a few hours shy!) My twins were 3, Mathew was 5, Amanda was 15. We ALL slept on the floor in front of the fireplace in the living room and blanketed off the rest of the house! We have a little 'camp stove' and that was what I cooked on! Fortunately it was so cold that we put all our food outside and didn't lose a thing! Do you know that has turned into one of my fondest memories? We spent SO much time together as a family! It was awesome! But it WAS cold!

The snow is beautiful, but if I had to choose I think I would choose to have electricity. I'm glad your husband has a generator -- I just hope he has enough fuel to keep it running as needed until you get your power back.

Oh my Carletta, no electricity? I hope they'll fix it soon, although I think Christmas by candlelight sound very romantic. ( Just kidding) Keep warm and have a merry merry Christmas with the entire family.
I DO envy the view you have. Breathtaking!

Yes, Carletta, I was envious, very envious...until I got to the "no electricity" bit. That is hard, and for so many days. Here (touching wood as I type it) they seem to get the electricity back much more quickly for people who lose it. We hardly ever lose it, one of the pluses of being in the city.
Pity you can't have both snow and electricity, now that would be so good!

Beautiful Carletta. I love snow pictures and really wouldn't mind it at all if I lived in a more isolated area. I have wonderful memories of snow in my childhood. I loved to get out and play in it and besides that I just might get out of school and that's always good. :)

I'm so sorry about the electric, Carletta. That's rough - thank goodness for your generator! We've had a lot of snow since Friday also but I still have electricity. If you were close enough, I would invite you over. All of your photos are just gorgeous. I love the last one!

Glad you liked my snow pictures. Your pictures of the snow are beautiful, too. I hope you get the electricity back on soon.

Oh my goodness..Carletta no electricity for that length of time...you poor thing. Don't you and your hubby go freezing up on us now ya hear!!! I love these photos I must say, even though it's caused you to have to use the generator...The last one is just magnificent...Keep warm and Happy Holidays to you. Oh and by the way..this morning the first passenger on my bus, Lucinda, got the package. I told her quickly what we did and she was most appreciative. :) Mahalo again my friend for being so thoughtful and generous :)

Goodness! That's terrible...no amount of beautiful snow can make up for freezing temperatures with no electricity. Hope you get all snuggly warm again before Christmas!

The snow is beautiful but no envy on my part. Ours is gone at the moment but will probably be back. And after living in Alaska for ten years I could do without it.

Sorry to hear about your power but at least you have a generator. We have two of them just in case (hubby works for the power company so we know we will probably need them).

Stay warm, hopefully your power will be on soon.

Gorgeous shots, but no electric is a tough price to pay. Glad you have the generator. No more snow here which suits me fine, though temperatures in the 20s I could do without. Hope you are a bit warmer down south, especially with out heat and light. Your mellow yellow santas are cute and I hope their presence means that you are now snug and warm again. Have a wonderful Holiday!

I wish you a merry (and electric) Christmas!

My goodness, I didn't realize some of you were without electricity this long. I certainly hope the power companies get your electric up before Christmas. We have a big generator . We live in the country and when our power goes out we can be in for a long wait. Our generator powers up all the major appliances, and our wood stove which can over heat very fast when the blowers quit.
Have a Merry Christmas Carletta, and stay warm. You took some awesome pictures.
