I've posted about these quilt barns before. You can click here for the original color photo posted last August. For today's post I was just going to change the image to sepia and erase the quilt pattern but I played around with my software just a little more and this was the result.
Briefly I took the original color image, added a layer and changed it to sepia. I then erased the quilt pattern, added a 'time machine' effect and added edges. I'm liking this a lot. Hope you enjoy it as well.

I think I need to learn a bit about edges. I like the effect.
Nice barn,good in sepia
Fine sepia and creative effects.
That's wonderful Carletta. I'm going back to your page now and find out more about these barns! That sky looks wild in sepia.
Great effect! I like the colors mixed with sepia.
Really creative and the result is very effective.
I wish I could do that with pictures. You are so talented.
Really great job Carletta. I wish I had a program to do things like that. Wonderful sepia shot.
Carletta you are always just so awesome at this!!
This is simply outstanding!! You did a wonderful job again!! Awesome!!:-)
This is such a beautiful picture. The barn is classic, of course. The quilt adds a timeless quality, and the sky in sepia is great. A wonderful take!
That's pretty cool. It really makes the blue stand out.
This is beautiful! It is so nostalgic, such an important part of Americana.
I love the barn, love the contrasts, so nostalgic.
Hi Carlotta. I had not seen your original post of the barn quilts before today. And now to see this and the one from August - I've never seen or heard of this. What a TREAT.
About the church, it was open. We were able to just walk in. I think this was so because a caretaker was there mowing the lawn and later he was going in to sweep. Even though it is not regularly used, it is beautifully cared for. We were very lucky he was there.
Carletta, you have created very attractive effects in this picture. The edges are interesting too.
I love half sepia, and you did great with this one! It would have been a shame to wash away the colours of the quilt with the sepia! Well done!
Ooh, I like that a lot! Leaving the quilt subtlely colored really takes the shot to another level. Great job Carletta.
Hello Carletta.
What you did with your photo is awesome! I love how it turned out, especially with the quilt. If I may ask, what software are you using?

It looks like something that fell from Gram's old photo album! It is amazing what we can do these days!
Vignetting is perfect for this. The quilt pattern is amazing. We don't have these big barns around here, at least not anymore.
Love it!! Very creative.
