The Unfurling Of A New Blog

In recent weeks I have come to miss the original intent of why I started blogging. It started out being a more personal reflection of where I was at the retirement crossroads of my life. I enjoyed sharing my everyday thoughts and sometimes feelings of where I was and where I hoped to go.

Then, along came Skywatch, Ruby Tuesday, Watery Wednesday, and all those other wonderful memes around blogland. I was intrigued at finding the right photo to fit the right theme. It truly makes my day when I find something I think fits the theme well and I can hardly wait to share it with my readers. Photography has become a passion of sorts. I'm just an amateur and many of you out there inspire me to want to learn and be a better photographer. I don't want to name names and leave anybody out; but I know some of you know who you are by the comments I leave you. You truly are an inspiration.

The question for me became 'how can I do both?'

The simplest and maybe the hardest decision as well was to start a photoblog. At least that's what I've decided to do. I'm only going to post what I consider my better photos on the new blog. Most of those will no doubt be geared to the memes where it really is all about the photo. Here at Round The Bend I will hopefully be doing a little more writing and soul searching if you will. Sometimes some of the memes will be posted here because I'll find something I simply must talk about. :)

The debut of my new blog, CARLETTA'S CAPTURES, was yesterday afternoon for the Today's Flowers meme. If you haven't seen it I hope you'll click over and take a quick look and let me know what you think.

How long will I be able to keep up two blogs? I don't know. I do know inspiration has hit and I'm just going to see where it takes me!

You know, you have style, class and charm. From what we can see, everything you do, you do well. I have no doubt that your new photo blog will dazzle us, but I look forward to getting back to meeting you again.

Thanks for your post. You are a caring and wonderful blogger. The best thing is to follow your heart and intensions. Only then will you meet the people you want to meet. Have a great week. Thanks for your visit.

And I am going to comment on the beautiful, delicate, inspiring photo you chose for announcing your new blog.

Great idea. I am just letting it take me where it will. I originally said mine was going to be eclectic and that's exactly what it has been. I'll be following. Pappy

I swore when I started my blog that it would be an ONLY child! And whatever it takes to make it remain so is what I'm going to do! LOL! I just work my thoughts and news around the meme's and challenges. But I agree with the others - I'm sure your photo blog will be a huge hit! As for me -- I'm looking forward to some of your thoughts...

We're all amateurs, and I will say practice is all what we all need *wink*

I've got 2 blogs too. It started as a personal blog (Its Not A Weekend; Its A Lifestyle) and came along those wonderful memes you've mentioned.
I then started out APAD(A photo A Day).
So far all has been fine, just a matter of dividing those memes around the 2 blogs.
I'm sure 2 blogs for you shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck! :)

Good for you. I just did the same thing (blog #2) for fiction writing.
I think you'll like having both of them.

I'm sure your new blog will be great. You take great pictures and I always enjoy looking at them and sharing in your thoughts. Sometimes we all need to spread our wings and grow in other areas.
