Ruby Tuesday: Wooden Carolers?

Does this look a little familiar? Look closely. It's the road in my header. I left home Saturday morning to do some Christmas shopping with my Mom and this is what I returned home to. We eventually got about an inch which is still with us due to the 21 degree high temperature for the past couple of days.
As you round that bend in the road you come out at the top of the ridge that overlooks the river. I've taken a little liberty in playing around with this image and added some poster effects to the photo.
Many of you have seen this little log cabin before when I highlighted the door. I stopped by the park while I was out and discovered Christmas carolers had come to sing at the cabin. The red apple wreaths on the windows seemed perfect for this Ruby Tuesday Christmas post. Be sure to enlarge to see all the details and the blustery snow.

Oh, the road looks much better without snow! LOL

I love the little cabin, looks like good place to curl up in front of a fireplace.

Those carolers are such a heartwarming sight, thank you for stopping and sharing them with us!

Amazing, how cold it is in your parts, we can't seem to get down to freezing temperatures this year. There are even roses blooming in some parts of town, and only last week I saw several windows with blooming red geraniums.

Thanks for sharing those pictures.
I love country roads even if they're covered with snow.
I love those carolers, too. I've not seen wooden/painted ones before. I wonder if I could get the captain to cut me some out to paint?

The road and the bend are intriguing every season. Who's to know what's hiding around the bend, especially this time of the year.
The singers look reasonably engaged, trying to hit a high key??

The cabin evokes a view of an earlier time. Maybe a bit idealized, I would probably work better with modern plumbing and heat. But the cabin would be nice in the Summer. It looks like just enough snow to melt and refreeze and make for a scary drive. But your road shows the true beauty of the Mountaineer State

I like what you've done with the cabin. It looks so holiday-ish.
Happy RT.

The wooden carolers are cool (pun?!?) on the cabin porch.

Careful driving on that slick stuff!

We just had a few flurries on Saturday -- no accumulation! Thankfully. I LOVE that cabin photo - and especially the carolers! Very cute!

The little log cabin looks so cool with the carollers!

I love them all. The carolers and wreath are sweet and whimsical and unlike your first commenter, I think the road looks beautiful both ways. If only the snow stayed as that faint decorative dust! We had bitter cold here too and a touch of snow but not enough to be a nuisance. My kind of snow.

Pretty, but brrrr... Those poor carolers look frozen through, positively wooden with cold ;-).

Snow really makes everything very pretty unless you have to drive in it..LOL..

The carolers make such a nice welcome to the cabin.

Snow in WV! I guess winter is moving southward.

Love it! Perfect Ruby Tuesday post, and beautiful photos as ALWAYS.

It's been so cold here too, down in the 50's at night, up in the 70's during the day! Some nights I actually have to turn the heat on, lol.

I like the pictures but hate the snow. We got over a foot with blowing wind.

Hi!
The carolers look a little chilly. We had that kind of weather last week. Today is in the 40's and raining. Thanks for stopping by my place.

I like your header better. :) Seriously, I think snow is beautiful but it makes people have "stupid attacks" when driving so that's the reason I don't like snow.

I bet that road gets very slippery at night!

love the carolers!!

That road draws me in. It makes me want to follow it to see where it goes. I love the apple wreaths. I've never seen that before, and the effect is at once simple and elegant. The carolers are a fun surprise too.

We do indeed seem to like a lot of the same things.

Love your snowy road home with the lovely fog effect in the second picture, and the carollers are such fun and so fitting for the season.
