Today's Flowers: Fall Sedum

I thought last week that I would not have any new flowers to share but checking the back side of the house I noticed the Sedum was showing its fall color. I kept forgetting all last week to take a picture so this is a little past the optimum beauty of the plant but I hope you enjoy it.
Be sure to click on the badge at the top of my post to visit our hosts Luiz and Denise to see other flower posts from all around the world.

Just a quick note for all my United States readers. I know we are all getting tired with all the rhetoric of this historical election and like me you may be feeling tired and worn like my fading yard stake; but I hope that no matter who you support in this election that you plan today to vote on Tuesday!

Sometimes we forget that the right not to vote is as important as the right to vote. In most dictatorships the voter turn out is very large as they have no choice but to vote and no choice as to the person to vote for. We can use our right to say " We don't like either of you" and we still have done something.

My sedum are still showing their fall colors, too. I love those deep reds. Like yours.
And you can bet I'll be out there voting.

Love your fall sedum. Looks great with the American flag.

I'm so glad we all have the right to vote!

I'd like to cast my vote for kinder, and much more respectful election rhetoric. I wouldn't mind a healthy dose of truth, too.

That's very pretty, Carletta, especially with the flag in the picture too!

Yes-I am sure weary of the election process...and can't concentrate on much of anything else.

I think we're in for a lot of changes...and I hope not too painful!!!

Beautiful. I like your flag thing. And I just wanted to tell Neal that he got it backwards. It's Democrats who vote on Tuesday and REPUBLICANS who vote Wednesday....

Unfortunately (again) I can't see your pictures. You music blocks the uploading of your blog I noticed. Can't you take it out ? I turned off my loudspeakers anyway because I am afraid to wake up the house with loud music when I open a blog, lol !

Are you surprised that the majority of my countrymen hope that Obama will win and put an end to those senseless wars, because we are also involved and I blame the wars for the financial crisis.

Nice to sill have some colour in the garden. I wish you luck with whatever candidate the US selects, the proof certainly is in the pudding.

I read doctor John's comment, and I just want to say that we in Belgium have an obligation to vote. Okay, we can still vote for who we want, but we HAVE to go out there. But even then it can be very difficult as Belgian politicians do not make the best of things lately either!

Hi Carletta, lovely photo! I will be up bright and early in the morning. The polls open at 6.30 a.m. I am a first time voter having been a US Citizen now for only two months. I wouldn't miss it for the world. And whoever gets in is going to have a very difficult road ahead of them. Have a great week.

Sedum always puts on such a nice show in the fall. I like the flag too, yes...I'm very tired of all of it, but it certainly has fired up a lot of folks who have become complacent about the voting process.

Sedum seems to keep adding interest to the garden all winter, so although the colour may be a little faded, there is still lots of beauty left!

Thanks for your visit to my Today's Flower! I am so sorry to be so late in visiting yours! It has been a hectic weekend with company who have just left today.
