AToday's Flowers: A Sculpture Garden

This amazing sculpture garden sits at the entrance to a shopping plaza which was my destination on a recent Christmas shopping spree. It is along US 119 South in Charleston, West Virgina. This flower sculpture was brought to life by world renowned artist blacksmith, Jeff Fetty.
Jeff is phenomenal and has won numerous art awards and has commissioned his ironworks for the well known and famous. He has done work for President Bill Clinton, the Elizabethan Globe Theatre in London, England, Yves Saint Laurent in Paris, France and writer Tom Clancy as well as musician Jon Bon Jovi among others.
I'm very proud to say I know Jeff. He and I were classmates throughout our elementary and high school years. He still lives in the hometown where we grew up.

That's so cool, like a breath of fresh air. Hard to tell the scale but I imagine it's pretty large for highway viewing. We could stand to see more of that!

Nice place, Carletta. I think Jeff made a part of the road brighter than it should be. :)

Carletta, all the flower pictures on my blog were in Alaska. If you like the outdoors, you would love it up there. If you want to see some beautiful Alaska pictures look at some of these pictures. The guy lives in Alaska so he's been everywhere.

Congratulations on the one year of blogging, and the cool awards Carletta! You deserve it!
We have snow here in Belgium as well, it started snowing here yesterday. For us, this is very very early in the season, last year we did not have any snow all winter, and then it snowed on Easter day!
I love the flowers you posted here today, and how cool is that to know the person who made them!!

This is really pretty. I sure some of his sculptures are so different than this too.

I used to come to the Charleston Regatta every fall. Stayed just north of town. I even have some of the Regatta pins the workers received.

Ohhhhhhh I LOOOOOVE those! Dang it! I could GROW them! And keep 'em alive even! Where can I get some? LOL! That is JUST what I need for my garden!
