It's Saturday which means it's time for Raven's Wordzzle. Each week she gives out lists of words that we the participants try to use in a coherent paragraph. Some participants are REALLY good at this so I invite you to click on the badge above and visit everyone who is writing with Raven today.
Here is my offering for the mini challenge:
Without the proper investments to see her through her waning years in style, Emily found her before death penalty was sitting in a substandard convalescent home petting the purring cat on her lap and reminising about the backseat of an old blue Mercury.

You make them so concise. I love it, though I do feel sad for Emily. Mabye she and I will wind up there together except I have no old Mercury to dream about.
Ahhh... the old blue Mercury! At least she has her memories!
I have an old blue Corvair to dream about. Loved your story!
at least she has fun memories!
I'd rather they take me out and shoot me than place me in one of those homes. (shuddering)
I like old blue Mercuries. And their backseats.

I feel sad for Emily. She needs to talk to my Myrtle. ;)
I really liked that last bit. Quite a visual for me.
Well written and concise. I too feel sorry for Emily.
I like it - short and very much to the point! I think you win for brevity this time - well done!
Short and Sweet Carletta - wonderful!
