These were the visitors I saw through my window this week. You can see the deer really are close to the house. If you enlarge this first pic you can see where a buck deer is lying in the grass to the left making himself at home. In the right side of the photo you can make out the the legs of another deer standing by the Rose of Sharon bush. There were six or seven deer on Monday.
Zooming In On The Buck
My 'yard art' moves!
Since I've been participating in
Quilly's Photographic Reflections Challenge this week I thought I would show you the outside of my window with the reflections of the huge oak tree I often talk about and the tops of some walnut trees.
I hope the view in your world today makes you smile!

Your yard is lovely. The deer probably consider it their park. I like your window reflection, too.
How precious! Those deer are adorable.
I love your yard. It's like a wonderful park. Turkey and deer and all sorts of wonderful beings and such beautiful greenness too. I'll bet those deer know it's a safe zone with good people. Love the reflections on the outside too.
Thanks for your kind words at my nest. Had some friends drop by this evening and am just getting back to the computer. Will have to figure out what to do for my Thursday poem but I may have to wait until morning. I so appreciate your friendship and your generous compliments and encouragement.
Wow ! you lucky girl you look out of your window and see a deer !!! When I look out of my window I see eventually a cat and with a closer look maybe a snail !
I am enjoying looking through your window on Thursdays. The deer blended in so well I almost never found them. You have a beautiful yard!
Bonjour !
C'est bien de pouvoir regarder des animaux "sauvages"...
J'habite près d'une forêt, alors parfois, une biche vient sur ma pelouse...
Those are great shots of the deer and I love the reflection of your oak trees in the window.
You do have a beautiful yard! No wonder the deer love to visit! I love that you have a window that you can watch them roam through -- our deer play mostly in our back field and we have NO windows on that side of the house. I've always wanted to build a room above the garage just because of that! Our back yard is so gorgeous and we can not see it at all from inside the house... *sigh* Dennis did catch a family of six down there the other day while he was working on a tractor... but he never has a camera ... so they got away! It's nice to see your window from the outside too - and a great idea for reflection - fits right in!
Carletta, lucky you - a deer and a beautiful reflection...
I have a brand new award for you at my blog - come see! :)
I agree, these are marvelous pictures. How blessed you are to live in such a beautiful place with so much nature around you.
I love your views from your house...you are blessed to have them.
:) Memo to self
1. Must clean windows for reflections.
2. Get Carletta's secret for having a garden and resident deer at the same time.
3. Add visit WV again to Bucket List.
looks like the deer feel quite comfortable in your yard.
lovely tree reflections!
Ooh! Deer! Very nice pictures! Absolutely lovely.
I could've stood at the window for a long time and watched such neighbours.
Are they regular visitors?
I'm glad the deer are visiting you and that you are getting photographs of them. They are so special.
I think it's neat the deer feel so safe and comfortable in your yard. Delightful shots.
Moving yard art...how unique!! LOVE that reflection in the window too!!
