The dark cloud on the right is smoke from the exhaust of whatever truck was pulling the sled at the time I took the image of the sun.
This image was taken about fifteen minutes later when the sun had dropped below the first of the two electric wires that were in the way of a perfect view. They are pretty faint in this image so I really don't mind them being there. It was amazing how the colors in the sky changed so quickly in that short period of time.

The lines aren't bad at all in that bottom shot of the sun. In fact, I wish there were three more lines, so that you the sun would be seen as a musical note! (Lines =E,G,B,D & F)
In the evenings, the skies can change very quick.
Terrific shots... the power lines don't distract at all and are easily overlooked. I really like the carousel horse, too!

Ahhhhh--I am a sucker for sunset or sunrise pictures. These are beautiful.
One of my favorites is always sun rise or sun set! It is amazing to see how the sky changes colors in the whole process.
The second of the two sunset photos is quite lovely.
The second shot is what I love the most...when the soft pinks and blues merge!!
