History In The MakingA blue paper box might not be the most worthy of subjects for a Project Blue photo; but the headlines inside certainly made it worthy of a second glance.
Regardless of our political views or party affiliation we must acknowledge the accomplishment of Barack Obama in wrapping up the Democratic presidential nomination. It is an American milestone that could allow him to become the first person of color in American history to become President. Many times in his campaign he insisted on looking beyond race; yet, he was “marching toward history because of the color of his skin.” How far his message of change can actually carry him in his quest for the White House is anybody’s guess. The prologue has been written. We’ll have to wait for the rest of the story.

See I just wanted to talk about the blue paper box! Maybe it's me but I think we're so much past this being a huge thing. I personally don't care what color our president is. I have no problem voting for black, brown, yellow, BLUE (ha ha) or whatever, as long as the person, male or female, is the right person for the job. A coworker stated she wanted to vote for Hilary because it would be wonderful to have a woman president. That made me sick. Not that a woman could be president, but that she wanted her ONLY because she is a woman. So sure, it would be just fine if a person of color, or a woman, or whomever was never there, became president. But lets make sure its the right person for the job. And I just don't think Obama is the right person for the job based on the issues, not the color of his skin. I'll get off my soapbox. But this goes to show how powerful your photo is. You stirred the pot! Nice job.

Cool photo. That newspaper box is such a pretty blue. It should be an interesting year of politics. I know I won't vote for McCain. I like Obama, though I'm not sure he's my first choice. Dennis Kucinich was my first choice.
To Robert - I think it's possible for people to like Hilary or Obama because of who they are and also be excited because of gender or race.

I wish him well... all I know is that I'm not keen on Bush, and our man Brown... I hope this young fellow dose well and your country proud.
The only thing I have enjoyed about this whole campaign was the fact that within the Democratic party history WOULD be made! One way or another, it couldn't be avoided! I only wish that the line had been drawn between the parties instead of within a party. THAT would have made for an interesting ELECTION!!!

I am not much concerned with the color of our next president. I am looking for one who won't leave "We the People" feeling blue and wondering why we voted for him.
If Mr. Obama wins, he will be the first president with absolutely no experience. One year as a Senator. He began his political run before he was even known by anyone in the Senate. The only thing going for him is that he is young, is black, is a great speaker. He had no right to think he could be our President. I am no McCain fan either, but, my GOD! Give me someone with experience! He better choose a great group around him unlike his past choices like his pastor, his financial guru, and his friends. My my. If he wins, maybe I can go visit one of you in a far away place for a few years.
