Skywatch Friday - P is for Poem

The Tree Stands Naked

The tree stands naked,
Stripped of its beauty
And I stand lonely
Stripped of understanding.
Just as the wind has taken from the tree,
You, my friend, have taken from my heart.
It was taken easily;
But you'll find it hard to return.

~Carletta (The College Years)
