Project Yellow: Crazy

If you're here from Anna's are you CRAZY with all this yellow yet and don't you just love it? Her Project Yellow has taken hold of us and refuses to let go!

My yellow CD is a collection of country instrumentals I bought a few years ago to sing along with. No, I don't think I could win an American Idol contest even if there was one for my age group. But, I was in school choirs from fifth grade through high school and one time the director of music at college caught me singing as I came out of the student union one day and said I should be singing in the Christmas Cantata. So, yes, I love singing and I can pretty much carry a tune!

This CD is filled with really wonderful country classic love songs like Roy Orbison's - Crying, Anne Murray's - Could I Have This Dance, Willie Nelson's -You Were Always on My Mind, and Kenny Roger's - Lady. Then there's I Fall to Pieces, She Believes In Me, If Tomorrow Never Comes, and an all time favorite - Patsy Cline's CRAZY.

So if you're up for it grab a sheet of lyrics and a mic and come sing along with me!

Still CRAZY for more yellow? Head on over to Anna's Project Yellow post for more participants!

Great angle on that parking shot below. And I like the musical selection for this post as well :)

Carletta,

I like that yellow record...and it sounds like fun- that sing along! :) I always liked to sing in my young years!

Oh! I have enjoyed all the yellow...but I think it's winding down. Anna says Tuesday will be her last yellow post!

I have a couple more. How about you? :)

Wonderful yellow shots. Music to smile and dance to in my case, I can't sing. Tone deaf. Got a D in choir. No joke. My mom got called in and was told not to let me sing in public. I got over it. :)

I'll stick with Roy Orbison's "Crying", Willie Nelson's "You Were Always on My Mind", Patsy Cline's "Crazy" ...
as for the youngters there are a few I like too ... from Faith Hill to Garth Brooks ... oh, and one shouldn´t forget the one and only Emmylou Harris!

CArletta, I almost couldn't turn off the music! I sang through Crazy by Patsy Cline and continued on. But I knew I wanted to comment so I pulled myself together and wrote this comment! Thanks for the yellow CD. Wonderful! I have some new yellows up!

Ahhh Patsy....Crazy. Love this song! And I love KFC. I actually worked there for a year when I was a teen :)

Yes, I snuck food ALL the time. No, never did get that special recipe, but it's also the only place I'll eat chicken!

And of course...great Project Yellow!

Great shot! We are all definitely a little crazy about this project yellow! I craved KFC while I was pregnant with my first son. I couldn't get enough of the stuff.

I am not getting to do yellow..hard time even visiting some sites. This project yellow really makes one notice color more...

I might come and sing with you, but you would want earplugs! I definitely like to 'sing'--but not sure singing is the word that describes what comes out.

Oh, i love that song too! I'm with Quintarantino, I love Willy Nelson's Always on my Mond too!! It will always remind me of driving with my dad in his Fiat with the top down! Thanks for a great post!

Nice arrangement of the subject -- I like how the cropping is a little "off" and the CD isn't put in a designated spot.

They should have an American Idol for "our" age group! :)

I love "Crazy." It's such an awesome song.

I think it's amazing how much Project Yellow has caught on. Just really cool. If she hadn't continued Project Yellow, I was thinking of trying to do something similar. :)

Carletta: I must have missed this one. I also have a collection of country love songs but it's not Yellow. Great find.

I love all those songs too! Unlike you, I can't sing a note and have been known to have dogs howl when I sing LOL
