Scavenger Hunt Sunday
1.Bring Me Flowers
This is my little Granddaughter Lily showing me the bouquet of Azalea and Fleabane I let her have. She LOVES to pick flowers so she has to be taught what to pick and what to leave alone. She picks them and anxiously runs to give them away.
2. Visual Contrast
I chose to show visual contrast between natural/man-made. The wooden barrel, the ironwork and the wooden siding give lots of texture with the plant and I almost think it's too much but the image is slowly growing on me.
This is the dangling part of a metal bookmark that my friend Doris made for me and sent to me on my birthday after I moved 500 miles away. Her friendship is very dear to me and I hope she knows just how much she means to me.4. Before and After
Fiddlehead Ferns
5.Dark
The photo is from my archives of the supermoon. I added the quote for the scavenger hunt prompt of dark.

Skywatch and Weekend Reflections
Sunday night I looked out my sun room window and noticed the moon glowing high in the sky.The cloud formations behind the moon reminded me of a beach with the tracks of dune buggies embedded in the sand. Often when I take shots of the moon I get the green reflection that I know distracts some folks; but I like that it gives the photo an otherworldly feel. :)
Seventeen minutes later when the clouds had dissipated I took this more traditional photo of the moon high in the sky. There certainly was a big ole' moon that night. Friday, July 3, 2009

Sky Watch: Early Evening Moon

Traveling down the interstate after visiting my Mom on Monday I looked out the window to my left and saw a huge Autumn moon rising in the last light of the day. After exiting the interstate I took the first ridge I came to to try and find a high spot to take a photo before night descended.Click on the badge at the top of my post to visit more Sky Watchers from around the world.

Project Looking Through:
Through the Frame - Take Three
When I first started this project with Mark I chose the picture frame to look through. I second guessed myself a lot on the choice. I appreciate that Mark's first comments were positive and that gave me the incentive to carry on. But, I truly wondered how many days I could take that frame and make it work.
