These were three HUGE apples I saw as I drove through the town. It seems they were auctioned off as a fundraiser for local charities. The red apple you see in the first photo was the original. They debuted at the town's 2005 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival and the project raised over $37,000 for local charities. Nice pieces of community art.
And, here we are on the road again as we listen to Patsy Cline. Winchester is the hometown of the famous country singer so I thought we'd listen to one of her songs today. We won't go walking but riding on down the road or it will be midnight before we get home!Tomorrow I'm going to skip a few hours down the road to post some Skywatch photos of my West Virginia Mountains because Friday is West Virginia Day. In the next few days I will backtrack so I can show you an Indian Mound and a Civil War site I visited along the way.
