Good Fences

It has been snowy and rainy here off and on for a couple of weeks and I haven't managed to get out much with my camera. So, how to present my own front yard fence in a way I haven't before? :) We'll start with this night shot. It was one of those snows that was fluffy and covered the branches. We have lights spotlighting a couple of our trees and I spent a little time trying to capture the snow. This photo doesn't due justice to the scene that night. It really was beautiful.

This is what it looked like the next morning. That's our garden shed framed by the snow laden trees. Today we are expecting maybe an inch or so. Somehow I just don't think it will be quite the same.

  1. The lighting on the trees makes a lovely picture -- I can just imagine sitting by the window watching the snow fall while drinking hot chocolate. (This is all totally in my imagination as I've never experienced such a thing really. Oregon had snow occasionally but nothing like this... and now... (well you know)
