Autumn Scenes

This week's song for Kathy's Song-ography is Bruce Hornsby's Look Out Any Window. The song has way more meaning and depth than the very straightforward chorus that I chose to interpret. Hope you enjoy.

Look out any window
Look out any open door
Look out any window
See what's going on in the world around you.
The above two shots were what was happening outside my Mom's window and door as I visited her this past week.
Taking 'look out any window' in the literal sense this was what I saw looking out my sunroom window. As some of my readers may know this is V-Notch - so named for the notch in her ear.  She was born this past spring and we've watched her lose her spots and turn into a toddler. One day this week she got tired and laid down under my Rose of Sharon bushes. Just look at those sleepy eyes.
I see her quite regularly. She comes for the acorns that have fallen under our oak tree that's just to the right out of the camera frame.

  4. Hi Carletta ~~ Thank you for dropping over to say Hi. Coming here was like coming home. I love your road scene, it reminds me of when we got off the freeway (in W.Va) and took the little roads along the river and through the small town.

Congrats too on having one of you pictures used. I am happy for you.
You are welcome to drop by some more. Thank you for coming. I have slowed down, no Ruby Red Tues or Sky Watch now. Was I playing with poetry when you last visited?

  12. To find the blessings as you show. You took some outstanding takes.

Is most beautiful it really makes

    one think.

How nature and the animals mean to us more then all the materialistic things we do own
that really do not compare what the Lord has given us to admire.

Outside our doors or at your Moms place you took or our neighbours or our journey takes of the surroundings. Gods world.

  13. Lovely foliage shots and too sweet that you have such a connection to this particular deer. I hesitate to get familiar with the neighborhood kitties that show up at my back door looking in. I sneak out and leave them a bit of food, but try not to get too attached.

Love the little deer. Glad he has a distinguishing mark --so you can recognize him... He's a Cutie.

    Hugs,

  15. Wow-beautiful color in those leaves. Fall at its peak. That deer must feel secure in your yard. What a testament to you-as long as she doesn't eat the flowers, right?
