He fluttered outside the window scratching gently against the glass.
He could see his shadow and there were times I could literally see his breath on the window.
All the while he sang at the top of this lungs.
Just stared and sang!
(yes, the windows need washed)
Occasionally he would fly to the nearby wisteria vines and still he kept singing.
This little Titmouse has entertained us for about eight days. He constantly sings to his reflection in the bay window. The second day he never left the area. Since then he has visited at least once a day happily singing to his reflection.
I took over fifty shots of this little guy so you'll see more of him next week with an update if he's still around.
Linking to Wild Bird Wednesday.

He's a cutie! How nice of him to come and visit and give you a little song, too! Great shots, Carletta! xx
awww, so cute. i love the hanging on the window shots... so funny. birds around here do the same thing. i wonder what they are looking for? silly little things. ha. ha!! ( :
How delightful Carletta, such a poser for the camera
Maybe he needs glasses. He might be trying to woo himself....thinking he's a female and that she's the prettiest thing he's ever seen. Poor bird...he's doomed to a broken heart and poor eyesight. Where's Dr. Doolittle? We need to send him there so he can get fitted with some tiny specs.
he's adorable! but obviously confused. :)
What a lovely bird, Carletta! How sweet.
Oh goodness. He is so cute! The titmouse seems to be a fun little character. Your pics are great!
Oh what a cutie! I think maybe he is serenading that lovely reflection he sees, not realising its his own!!
A fine series of this cute bird. Your description of his actions add much to the pictures. I'm glad he sings so much.
how fun for you.
I would very much like to see a titmouse in person! They are so cute!
How funny! Fabulous shots!
The first shot is great! I love the motion of the wings...
We had a young gray jay fly from window to window last fall, before it learned it couldn't get in. It was quite entertaining! I think I have seen it with its mate two or three times this spring, and I expect to see other young ones to come to the suet later on...
That is so incredible!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
how sweet! love your battenburg lace too!
Color me green with envy here...on two accounts...the bird serenading you all for over a week...AND having a wisteria!!
These are awesome! Love the wing motion in the first one!
What a cutie!
Great photos!
Wonderful to see Carletta... so like my little BlueTits...
Wonderful~
Funny, he is seeing his competition! Great story and photos, Carletta!
Great photos, especially the wings in motion! How interesting that he keeps coming back to sing to his own reflection. I would've thought he'd realize it wasn't a real bird.
Sounds like this guy is going after a mate! Yes, he certainly provides entertainment with his frantic efforts.
Great photos and lovely to see this little bird so close.
He must have a nest nearby --and he's protecting the Mama and babies from that other bird in the glass... A Bluebird did that here one year --but didn't do it at all this year so far.. We've also had a Robin doing that during the breeding season... They are very protective!!!! Glad you are enjoying the Titmouse!!! Hope you see the babies soon.
Hugs,
Betsy
oh how beautiful that bird and your photographs of
Great shots! He's a cute little guy!
He's a cute little guy. My budgies sang to their reflections too.
I do like the first shot - we have a species of bird - a miner - that attacks its own reflection in car wing mirrors in a local car park.
Cheers - and thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M - Melbourne
adorable fella - well captured and perfect for WBW
Wonderful captures - real cute too.
Great action and interesting observations.
How nice. What kind of bird is he?
To sing it must be nice. Too bad you can not video his singing.
I have never seen one like this.
Great takes.
Oh, such sweet photos of this little fellow! Maybe he has been in love with his mirror picture? :)
Thanks for your comment!

We had a cardinal that did the same thing at our patio door a few years ago. We couldn't figure out what he was after. Tufted titmouse is such a pretty bird. Great pics!
Robins and Woodpeckers are so bad about doing this to our windows. Some do not make the hit, but most do~
What a wonderful thing to happen...and I bet he has provided hours and hours of joy to you!
Oh he's so darn adorable. We once had a robin who kept trying to get at his reflection in our deck door...but your titmouse is so much cuter ..and sings so much more beautifully.
