Rurality Blog Hop: Deer In My Yard

A couple of weeks ago I looked out the sunroom window and seven deer were lying just beyond my Rose of Sharon bushes.
Zooming in you can tell some of them have noticed me at the window with my camera. They probably stayed there for about forty-five minutes before getting up and wandering back into the woods.
About a week later on March 22 I caught one staring in my window. They are pretty comfortable in my yard and I'm grateful for the opportunity to see them up close.

  7. Our local herd has doubled in size this winter - over 40 of them now and even though we are always aware that they will potentially be in certain locations, I am still startled when I head down the drive way and they are immediately beside me in the yard; or the time we were arriving home late and on the 'alert' the entire way in only to find them standing IN the driveway. Sneaky Sneaky!

Great close-up shot of the peeping tom.

  21. I find it interesting that the deer are comfortable in your yard. The deer around here bolt at any sign of human movement. You did get some great photos.
