Today's fence is from my own front yard. It's a partial fence that seperates the small yard pond from the driveway. I took this as I was on my way out to do errands yesterday. Many people keep their forsynthia bushes cut back but this one we have let grow naturally.
Let's take a closer look.
How about a macro look - shall we?
If we look really, really close we can see who was hiding in that big bush.
Oh wonderful sunny yellow blooms! Mine is not blooming yet, nor do we have any lady bugs around.
ReplyDeleteyou have a beautiful driveway!
ReplyDeletePretty! I like it when forsythia are left to grow naturally. What a pretty sight when younpullin and out of your driveway. I expect well get some bright yellow blooms one of these days, but were still in the early magnolia stages of Spring.
ReplyDeleteoh sooo sooo sooo pretty, love that vibrant yellow... & the lil bitty ladybug =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and refreshing view!
ReplyDeleteWhoa...they are beautiful and just so cheerful to see!
ReplyDeleteLove your up close forsythia! Ours is just started to show the green leaves. Yellow flowers come soon enough.
ReplyDeleteI should take out my macro lens ...

ReplyDeletenice post.
A super series of photos. It is one of my favourite plants. I first saw it in Switzerland years ago. I haven't seen it here in Qld but the cooler states have it I think. I love the dreamy look of the first photo.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome flash of color. It looks summery compared to what is here.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the lady bug.
ReplyDeleteDIANE: FROM FAR AWAY I THINK FORSYTHIA TENDS TO LOOK DARKER AND NOT AS BRIGHT. SO I SOFTENED THIS SO THE YELLOW WOULD BE TRUER TO THE NATURAL COLOR THAT YOUR EYE SEES.
ReplyDeleteGLAD YOU LIKED IT!
Overload, overload! Oh, these are wonderful. I almost think your photos are better than the real thing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful forsythia shots, Carletta. I love the really close one with the ladybug.
ReplyDeleteWe just got a foot of snow here over the last couple of days. Grrr
I love it when the bushes are allowed to grow naturally - they have such a better look about them. Love the closeups - and the lady bug is great.
ReplyDeleteSo bright and happy! Love the lady bug, too! Beautiful photos. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, I love forsythia. Love your shots today. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGreat photographs! I especially like the first one, with the light fog in it. My forsythias are blooming now too! Spring has finally arrived.
ReplyDeleteThat forsythia and fence combination is just wonderful--like they were intended for just that spot.
ReplyDeleteGreat blossom and nice fence. What would you want more?
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to the forsythia. When it blooms, spring is surely not far behind.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Carletta, what a lovely sight to greet you in the morning. Thanks for sharing it with us out here. I need a little sunshine on a wet soggy morning. Have a great weekend :)
