I'm Back!!
Earlier this evening at around 5:30 I glanced out my sunroom window and saw three or four robins. I grabbed the camera and got just a few shots before something scared them (probably me at the window) and they flew away. Looking through my archives they are a little later than last year. Look at those buds on the oak tree - a sure sign of hope and renewal. Guess that silly ole groundhog was right. Spring is on its way!
Linking to Wild Bird Wednesday.
the robins are always such a welcome sign!
ReplyDeleteLove those Robins - a sure sign! Wish we had Cardinals, here. They are so pretty! xx
ReplyDeleteThey must cheer up winter. The cardinal looks like he's doing a circus act.
ReplyDeleteHi Carletta, I am a first time visitor and enjoyed seeing this post and recent ones, the rain drops on the window were very clever. I too enjoy taking photos of ordinary, everyday things. Please feel free you drop in for a visit to our blog place one day as the Welcome mat is always out.
ReplyDeleteRobins are pretty irregular. The time they show up varies widely. However, it's always great to see them.
ReplyDeletethey're beauties & both Cardinals & Robins are a welcome site for me... Cardinals just because they're my fave & Robins as a sure sign of Spring.
ReplyDeleteYaY Spring! =)
I haven't seen a robin here at home yet, but we were out somewhere and I saw one. Must stay cold longer here in town...but sure is nice to see one anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI do think the groundhog was right...but then, we have a saying here: If it thunders in February, there will be frost in April. We are in for a huge frost in April if that's true, because it thundered more than I ever heard in my life night before last!
ReplyDeleteCarletta,
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at your bird pictures. Like you I have bird feeders around my yard but I never seem to draw the kind of colorful birds that you do. Perhaps it is because I live in suburban Denver, CO and we just don't have the variety of birds that you have. One question for you though - how do you get such excellent photos? Are you taking the pictures through the glass of a window? Just wondering as I would love to get some pictures of the birds that come to my feeders.
Thanks - Jerry
