The pond in the photo above was man-made many years ago before I was even a teenager. It's not far from my Mom's. I've always loved how the barn is reflected in the water and I finally stopped the week before Thanksgiving to get a photo. The pond is very large. The picnic table you see to the left used to sit on a little island in the middle of the pond. I somehow managed not to get the island in the photos I took that day.
This is the scene to the left of the photo above. I had to pull over to the side of the road to get the photos and was trying to get the reflections. I wasn't thinking that I should have pulled back the lens and tried to get a larger view. Just gives me a reason to stop again next time.
(Be sure to enlarge these to check out the fencing around the barn and the fencing between the house and garden.)

Don't you hate it when you get home and think about ways you should have taken a photo?

I can relate to looking at photos on the computer and thinking about what you should have done! The reflections are fantastic. I especially like the second shot framed by the tree.
