This barn is nestled among the hills along a rural road not far from my home. I really liked the twin silos even though they are covered with vines. Notice the 'pasture' land?
Pulling back the camera we see the surrounding land has been turned into a golf course. The golf course features 180 acres of rolling greens, ponds, and breathtaking views.

wow! makes a striking photo! 'manicured' pastures to offset that barn and silo pair!
What a beautiful setting! I like the twin silos too.
I love this setting! Looks so peaceful! Nice to see some blogs again - I have missed everyone, but have truly been too overwhelmed to even try to blog much! Hope you are well!
It sure has a beautiful setting...I am getting till I just love silos, too.
What a perfect place for an old barn and a golf course.. Let's hope someone keeps it in good shape.
I love this red barn and I like the silos. And nature is so beautiful and green!!!
Very serene and very beautiful!!!
definitely a gorgeous area. so lovely. glad you got a chance to see in through a camera lens & in person. neat!! ( :
There's a barn very similar to this one with a gold course near where we live in NC. I think it's the first barn I shared in the Fall. Very neat and surprising!
Beautiful setting, and I'm really liking those silos - vines and all!
I was wondering why this site was so well tended landscape wise and then I saw a green. Great that they left the old buildings to ad some appeal. Beautiful country and you caught it's beauty.
Wonderfully scenic. That scenery would certainly put any golfer in a relaxed mood.
Excellent composition.
What a panoramic shot. I'm not a golfer but I'm a looker and it looks beautiful. Those are awfully big silos.
Oh My---love the second shot the most... That pasture land is gorgeous!!!!! Thanks for sharing, Carletta.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh wow! Love these shots. Such a beautiful scene!
Ha! The golff course explains why the grass looks so well cared for. We have a couple of farms turned into golf courses too. The next step here so close to Toronto is for the golf course to become a subdivision. Kmmm.
now this is a pretty place to play golf, even though i'm not a golfer! there's a barn and silo that sits on a golf course in roanoke, i think...i always see it when i'm speeding by on the interstate, one of these days i'm gonna pull off and investigate!
Beautiful setting...my hubs would love to play that golf course!
Neat idea to have the golf course people keep the foreground in immaculate condition for photo ops.
Beautiful!
I'm guessing the farm is on a different piece of property & doesn't belong to the golf course? You're not lying about the breathtaking views, esp w/ the mountain of fall colors in the background, oh so beautiful! The barn makes that golf course look GOOOD! hehehe
Thanks a million for joining, Carletta =)
Uh, oh! I'm thinking this farmer made a very smart land sell? Although, when farms and city people who move to the country for its charms mix sometimes co-existing is uneasy because of the natural smells, noise and general churning up of the atmosphere. In this case, the big contrasts make for an interesting photo. Hope they've learned how to be good neighbors.
an honest take on "country club".
I really like the second shot. So farm looking. Silos fascinate me. I have never seen the farmers putting stuff in them. Would love to see that. genie
Your blog design has changed I do believe and I like it :)
I'm thrilled they did the golf course AROUND the good stuff. Beautiful!
At least they left the rural charm when they put in the golf course. Nice shots!
