This week for Barn Charm I'm posting a trio of barns surrounded by fall foliage. We had snow flurries here all day Saturday and it was just above freezing so winter is upon us with flurries expected again tonight and tomorrow. I took all of these this fall and if I don't post them they will get buried in my archives. :)
This first one is along a rural road not far from my home. The 'pink' siding on the barn to the right really caught my attention.
The above barn is a drive-by shot taken on Interstate 64 as we returned home from our daughter's last month. It is near Clifton Forge, Virginia.
This is another drive-by and at first it looks in fairly good condition; but looking closely the roof is buckled in a couple of places along the front.
Linking up with Tricia's Barn Charm.

i like the classic shaped barns in #1 and #3, but the 2nd place has the most gorgeous backdrop. :)
Simple, timeless with a lot of character, these barn are very beautiful
I like the settings on the second picture. A barn is so nicely stands by the beautiful mountains.
Excellent pictures!!!
I like the barns, but oh, I so love the backgrounds. I think I would be happy if it were fall 8 months of the year.
Love the red machinery adding oomph to the 2nd and 3rd barns. The setting of that second is a classic--would make a wonderful postcard.
All are great!
Fantastic drive bys- I so need to get out and about and find some more barns to photograph!
I like all of these, especially with the Fall colors!
Beautiful barns! I love the beautiful color on the mountains in the back ground.
Nice barns, and the foliage is beautiful. It's starting to snow here, too.
Interesting how all of these farmers were creative and built a barn to their own liking.
I like that you also captured red farm machinery in the 2nd and 3rd photos.
An interesting series of barns. Virginia looks beautiful!
I love your barns, Carletta, but it's the beautiful scenery that is really catching my eye!
Great barn pictures, Carletta... We haven't had any snow here --but it's raining tonight... We've had some cold temps---but when it's cold here, it's CLEAR and SUNNY. Now that it's raining, it's warmer... Oh WEll---maybe we'll get some snow sometime. ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
These are great barns, Carletta! I love the fall foliage and the vines on the barn in the first one. The fall trees in the background of the other two are wonderful.
love shot 2 & 3 ... great views.

The weather really does a number on these old barns... wish they were untouchable, don't you! Look at all those fall colors, Gloriously beautiful, Carletta!

saturday was cold here but not a sign of snow...today is just rain and it's too warm, almost 50, darn it!
I love that little building leaning in the center of the first photo. I wonder if the sun is making the barn look pink. LOVE the hillside in the background of the second one! Wonderful photos!
Great captures, Carletta. These look like classics.
LAVENDER DREAMER - NO, THE SIDING WAS PINK. I THINK PERHAPS IT HAD BEEN RED AND SINCE THIS SIDE FACES THE AFTERNOON SUN IT HAS FADED TO THIS LIGHT PINK. :)
The first photo a wonderful collage of American barns of the past. Love it.
A fine trio of barn pictures. Nice variety in these barns. Too bad that one starting to see a breakdown in the roof. Fine drive-by shooting too.
Lovely fall foliage surrounding these barns!
