I was out taking photos of the fall leaves before our "Frankenstorm" weather had a chance to blow all the leaves off the trees. As I was taking photos in the cold air I could hear the honking of geese. Not sure where they were or where they were going I stepped out from under the gum trees and barely had time to point and shoot as they flew over my rooftop a good 400 feet away.
The photo isn't a sharp and clear image but I rather like how this straight out of the camera shot turned out.

Those geese are probably heading SOUTH to get away from the horrible storm. So much of your state is covered in snow... My prayers are with those who had damage in this horrible tragedy...

I stop and look at every flight of geese. We have geese coming through into late November. The northern geese just keep coming.

We have some Canada Geese that stay all year on neighboring ponds but I don't usually see flocks of this size so I'm not sure.

Looks like a Chinese pen and ink drawing--like it a lot. I hear the geese fly over as I'm fixing breakfast but by the time they register and I grab camera, they're gone.
