This long and much patched up barn was just down the road from the barn silo I posted last week.
If you click to enlarge the image you can see that although the setting looks pristine the condition of the barn isn't.
I had to contend with shooting into the sun that washed out the sky; but this is the front of the barn. This perspective sure makes the barn look much smaller and in far better condition than it is.

looks like they added on to the much smaller barn at one time. it is pretty neat, though.
It's a wonderful old barn! I love it!
I would like to know what that barn was used for. It is funny how it looks so small from the front but is a huge barn.
Horses? each gets a window view??
love it, charming.
that is wild. you would never guess the size from the front. but the side view it is huge!! wow, great find. (:
Looks like an old dairy barn that grew in length. : )
Very long in the first photo. I'm glad you took the second one even if the sky is washed out. It gives me a better idea of what the barn looks like.
Wonderful old barn! I love all the windows and the patched together roof. It has a lot of character. xx
Looks like this barn is still in use. Hope this is not abandon too this is just so beautiful!

It has sure been a beauty in its day!
Not only is it patched up but very old. At one time it must have been a profitable building for it's owners. Would that be a "milk house " in front or a well ?
From the front it looks like a tiny barn, but it is huge! Looks like it's been added onto at some point.
That is one big barn! I don't think I've ever seen one that long. Nice find!
That is grand!
oh it's a pretty one!
If that old barn could talk!!!
I like the front view better...looks much more charming then the first shot!
It's a sweet old barn with character and I love the teeny building! I wonder if it is a well house...
This is a very long barn -- much longer than usual. It could use some TLC.
Very large. I am sure it is hard to maintain being that large.
I WISH I had a barn! Could you imagine what a great photo studio I could make out of that?? (I love to dream about that kind of stuff, but it's not very practical for me.)
This barn has character and personality! I like it!
Somebody is working hard to keep that old barn usable. I admire that.
What a lovely old barn!
Wow, if I'd seen the front of the barn first, I'd never have guessed the length! Great old barn.
Interesting barn... Bet that one was REALLY busy at one time. It does look like it needs some 'love' now though...Thanks for sharing.
Cold here this week. We have been enjoying a fire in the fireplace all week... Love it!!!
Hugs,

That poor, poor ol barn... It would be something if it was fixed up. She's a beauty, in my book =)
Thank you for joining, Carletta!!!
A fine, old barn to shoot for today. It is in worse condition that first look shows. I like the two views so we get a more complete impression of the barn.
WoW...it's huge and beautiful!! i love all that washed out wood!!
Would love to know the history behind this barn -- and the manner in which it was expanded. Very cool.
Oh what a place this is!...:)JP
It's so pretty!! What a great old barn.
