AND, after peeling, and peeling, and peeling and putting away bags of sliced apples into the freezer for those winter days ahead when warm fried apples will grace the table....it was time for a little camera play. The result was an apple still life with bubbles of bokeh!

Until I looked at this, with dates above each picture, I never realised how quick the transformation from bloom to fruit. (and I have apple trees in my garden!)
The last one, with the Bokeh, is lovely; I like that the leaves and fruit also have imperfections. Life is not perfect!
I so wanted an apple tree in my yard - planted 2 dwarf Fuji - but they didn't make the first year! Dead by mid-summer in spite of my best efforts! Oh well - I will just enjoy looking at the progress of yours! Lovely series on the process!

i always loved paring and cutting up apples to freeze. always with my mom.

And it's a "bubbly" wonderful image! My mother used to put together the "fixin's" for apple pie in freezer bags.
There's a lot to get my attention in this post. Seasonal apple cycle, good photos and yes Fried apples? I've never heard of them? Have i been hidden away some place and missed this. And yes, I do like apple pie.

Your FF are lovely, but I kept going and I just love the apple photos. I never realised how quick fruit went from bloom to fruit. May I please ask what are fried apples?? They sound simply delish.

It you tire of picking over there, come on over here and pick here. Only kidding. Our apples are not very good, but the deer and the bogs love them when they hit the ground. I have picked strawberries but never apples. genie
