This is a portion of the fence that surrounds my Stepdad's garden. In the background you can see potatos and onions growing.
I thought a vintage processing was in order as well because of the old plow.

love the old hand tiller!
I hope that is an accent piece for the farm and not one that he is still using! Then again, maybe it works, just fine.
I agree the vintage edit is perfect for this shot.
Very interesting machine for gardening. I assume it's hand held an human powered. Makes for a great photo.
Your second picture is fabulous --especially for THAT particular shot. Love the old tiller. Great fence picture, Carletta.

Betsy
Perfect shot! I love the processing for the second one - what a great piece of equipment!
Your photo awakens in me the longing to plant a garden again!

Great shot Carletta of that "antic" tiller of yesteryears. My back aches even thinking of how much work and energy would have been exerted to push that up and down fields. The old draught horse ones that farmers used and walked behind to keep steady would have been hard enough.
I'll take your word on the potatoes and onions - ha ha.
Exceedingly informative and interesting blog. Well done.

Weather report: Noon Friday 18th.
Sheer bliss, bit coolish in the early mornings. Pity it won't stay like this till October! ( sigh!)
Hi Carletta,
Thanks for the comment. God is good!
I like this old garden tool, and it certainly looks better in b/w.
Blessings!
Oh yes, these look fabulous...just the perfect touch for the subject matter!
That is beautiful, the second shot really shows the texture of the old wood. Lovely.
Love the old garden tiller against the fence.
Wow love these photos. I like best the first one. Happy weekend!

Love that old plow! I love what you did with the second photo, Carletta! It really makes it fit the look of the plow.
love it!!
Great old plow!
Love that second shot!
Fantastic photographs, magical colours. I am greeting
Sweet! You've taken us back to the 1800's! :)
the plow is like a sculpture!!
Love it-and the 2nd edit is my favorite!!
I really like the vintage look with this photo. I remember using a plow like this when I was growing up.
Nice garden fence.
Oh my mom would love to have that lil goody decorating the fence at the farm & it's great w/ a vintage twist! love it =)
did they forget the digger/plough, and just put the fence?
Great vintage-looking edit!
Oh, I remember these old push plows--and what hard work they were to use, especially if you waited too long between plowings! Like your editing choice--a goal of mine to learn how to do this in photoshop--especially sepia tones.
What gorgeous and nostalgic captures, so filled with mood.
Love this in B&W!
Love both of these! I covet the plow. :)
I always enjoy finding captures like this. How lucky you are to have this one in the family.
