One morning last week hubby had a doctor's appointment and as I walked by the sunroom I glanced out the window to see two deer coming across the meadow in the dew covered grass. The backlighting of the morning sunrise put them in lovely shadows. You can tell that they see me standing in the window. They come underneath the big old oak tree in my backyard to find whatever bird seed the birds have knocked from the feeder hanging in the tree. They have in the past sniffed at the finch feeder you see in this shot.
It was a lovely way to start the morning.

so beautiful! love the extra glow in that top shot!
ReplyDeleteSweet deer! Even though we have a lot of deer where we live, I never grow tired of catching glimses of them :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the deer, Carletta. You are right.. The light was perfect... I could tell that they could see you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh, these are such sweet shots! Beautiful! Glad you liked my Harris Hawk pics!
ReplyDeletePerfect start to the morning! You have the greatest yard.
ReplyDeleteOh, aren't they wonderful?! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeletePearl
They're both gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteThe first one has that "early morning" light quality and the second one with the 2 of them staring into your lens is so lovely.
Great moments captured so well.
Absolutely beautiful shots! I would be in heaven to have that view from my window! The lighting is spectacular! Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. You are very fortunate to have these attractive deers in your yard, but besides sniffing the feeders, do they "sniff" your garden flowers?? ha ha!
ReplyDeleteIt was great when I lived as a young boy in the country on the property and wake up and see the emus and kangaroos around the homestead and the yards. Now all I see are wretched crows and scavanging Ibis. Ah such is life, in "glorious" suburbia!
Cheers

ReplyDeleteThe deer twins look majestic, their leggy shadows neat. They notice the photo artist, and want to pose. I am sure you captured their 'good' side here!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Carletta. The light is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour deer look curious. Today I took my Mom out for a walk and right in front of her condo was a deer eating grass in the green space in the middle. We stayed to watch until it settled down for a snooze in the sun. Such fun for my Mom who doesn't get around much because of her wheelchair. - Margy
