I was out this past Tuesday taking some additonal photos of a barn I intend to post for Barn Charm on Monday. It so happened this fence post with its barbed wire and vines was in my field of view while trying to get the barn pics so I thought I'd use it for Friday's Fences. I really didn't like the composition at all but after playing around with it I added a texture and played with different blending modes to achieve what you see. It's growing on me.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead!

the grasses and vines really make it nice!
I like how you can just make out the mail pouch sign on the background barn. Nice DOF.
Oh, Carletta, what is not to like! It is the type of shot I would be proud of,
great shot. i love seeing Mail Pouch barns... such a great find. (:
that is a fun, whimsical shot.
I rather like this. I like the sharp focus of the vine and barbed wire, and the soft focus of the barn.
Hi Carletta... You did a great job of getting the barn and the fence in the same picture... Love the Mail Pouch barns.. They remind me of the See Rock City ones in our area... Great fence post!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
It's a wonderful photo! I like it very much!
Old fence posts are photogenic.
The sign in the background intrigues me, hope that it is part of the barn post that's coming . You are doing amazing things with texture.
Interesting! I like the ad on the barn in the background! I am also impressed that you plan your posts...
Very creative picture !
Outstanding job. One day I'll learn how to get the background blurry and the subject focused. I love photos done like this :)
It turned out cool!!!
I love the shot...of course I want to see it before your edits!! I probably would have liked it then too~
This is extremely clever! The weeds sticking out past the fence post and signage on the barn... Marvelous!
Great shot Carletta! I love the composition.
Love the outcome of your playful activity the other day. This shot is great, now. Never cull a shot. There is always a way to create a piece of art from it. genie
Oh!!! I like this!!
This really speaks to me on a lot of levels!!! Very powerful shot!
(Makes me want to sing "Desperado") by the Eagles!

Very artful composition. Quite like that hazy barn background as it really emphasizes the fence post subject. I read someplace to never delete photos after just looking at them through the view finder. Amazing what you can get once they're uploaded and "played with" just a bit.
Love it...a great twofer! Barn charm n Friday Fences!
Awesome shot!
