This week's color out of the 64 box of crayons is lavender. The Crayola crayon color is not the color most of us think of as lavender. I think of light purple. Taking the crayon from the box and coloring on a piece of paper you find it is more a pinkish purple. Above is my entry for this week. It is a compote dish of reproduction carnival glass that my mother-in-law gave me years ago. I love the iridescent surface shimmer and the rainbow or 'oil-slick' highlights. One of those highlights is a pretty close match for Crayola's lavender.
Hubby brought home flowers from the grocery store this week as he often does and I immediately noticed a lavender stripe or two in a carnation. A few macro shots later really brought out the highlights.Grab a box of crayons and come color with us here.

I love the goblet! I collect colored glass vases and bottles...had to edit my collection significantly a few years ago when we moved, but I'm steadily adding to it again. Love all of your photos! Especially Woody...my son can't get enough of that Rootin' Tootin' guy!

Hi Carletta, There are so many different colors of purple... When "I" think of lavender --I think of a dark and rich purple. When I think of a light purple, I call it Lilac..... BUT--whatever it is, it is beautiful.... Great pictures.
