At the same time our youngest fawn visitor and mama were in the front yard area just to the left of where the buck was in the above photo.
Hanging out in the backyard near the woods was our oldest fawn visitor and mama and a friend of the family.
Very close to and eyeing my Rose of Sharon bushes were these two. Notice the still golden red color of the deer on the left. The deer on the right has begun to take on the light gray color of winter's insulated coat.
The fawns and their mamas have been around all summer with other occasional doe making an appearance a couple of times a smaller buck as well. It's that time of year when we see more and more deer. For those of you anxious for cooler weather it's a sure sign fall is on the way.
All of these beautiful creatures were in my yard on Tuesday evening. A couple more got scared seeing me peeking out the window and tip-toeing around the deck and they ran away from their portrait session. Wait till the rest of the crowd tells them they missed their fifteen minutes of fame!!!! I bet they'll be back.

Wow - what fantastic shots!
Oh my goodness, what lovely visitors! I know some people find deer a nuisance, but I always think they're beautiful, and they always make me think of Christmas, snow and Santa- all things I love!
Beautiful photographs, Carletta, thanks for sharing them with us.
Oh wow, sometimes deers are not scared anymore. I found a fawn at the side of our church last week and she was just sitting there, relaxin hehehe. Great shots!
I really like these photos. They are beautiful :) Fifteen minutes of fame...LOL too funny. The seasons are changing that for sure :) Thanks for sharing :)
Love these photos - such beautiful animals. A doe visited me at twilight yesterday morning but was a tad camera shy :) How are you Carletta?
You have such luck taking photos of the deer in you yard!
They are lovely!
They may be common animals, but I still get excited to see them, and I'd be ecstatic to see so many in my yard! Great captures, Carlotta!
These are great shots; I can see that the deer knew you were there! That is a very handsome buck!
Blessings!
Such beautiful creatures. I can't believe people shoot them.
Wow, great shots. What a delight to see these beautiful creatures in your backyard!
Such lovely visitors, Carletta!

Carletta, that is so cool to have all those deer visiting!
We have seen several fawns on our drives lately...they are so adorable@
I'd love to be able to see that many deer on a regular basis.
Great shots!
Hi Carletta, I love seeing the deer... That fawn is just so cute... AND--the buck is gorgeous. I saw a buck when we were in the Smokies on Friday--but didn't get his picture. Sigh!!!!
Thanks for another great post.
Hugs,
Betsy
These are wonderful pictures of the deer -- especially of the buck. I'll bet you'll have even more visitors once the word gets out about how well you treat guests in your yard.
Oh! Carletta!! How wonderful! You're a lucky lady to see all this beauty in your back yard! I would love that!!

What a wonderful family! Adorable!
Fabulous! I'm sure they will be back when they realize they missed being stars of the blogosphere!
Your photos are amazing.
Incredible shots. I especially like the way the buck posed for you -- very regal.
What a handsome buck! These could be the same ones I see in our yard!
Very nice Carletta. The fawn is especially cute. Both my brothers hunt but I could never shoot one of those unless I really needed the food.
They drink out of my birdbath here in the city!
I wish there were deer in my backyard! What a handsome buck he is. And you got some shots of the females too I see.
"Wait till the rest of the crowd tells them they missed their fifteen minutes of fame!!!! I bet they'll be back." <- when they hear about the brilliant critter paparazzi, they'll be excited for the media exposure :)
Great collection!!
I didn't play cc this week, but I hope this interests you enough to click through :)
