Ruby Tuesday In The Fall

It's time for Ruby Tuesday with our host Mary of Work of the Poet. Mary suggested that if we had pictures of changing leaves to post them this week or next for Ruby Tuesday in the fall.
Just over a week ago I went to visit my Mom. She lives about forty-five minutes away and a little farther north. I took these first two images of the leaves on her maple tree. I loved the differences in the leaves on the same tree. The last one is of trees surrounding her now empty garden.
Be sure to click on the Ruby Miss Bug at the top to join in or see what kinds of red the other participants have posted for today.
Happy Ruby Tuesday to you all!

  1. Wonderful fall leaves. I love all the colors of autumn. I like the contrast of the close-up leaf with the forest of colorful trees.

  4. Carletta, I love those autumn colors. We don't get them until late November or in December.
Those old car lines aren't very aerodynamic but that wasn't so important back then. Thank you, happy Tuesday (Ruby)

  6. These are beautiful photos, Carletta! In spite of all the flowers during spring and summer, fall is my favorite time of the year. Not only are we surrounded by color but the cooler temperatures make me very happy.

  15. Hi Carletta!
I love that top shot with the red veins starting through the leaf. Very cool. There was a good wind event in the northwest this past weekend so I can only imagine how many leaves are gracing my lawn up there right now :0)
    Have great Tuesday...

  18. We're coming into my favorite time of year. It is sooooo good to see the changing colors, and soon to walk through the crispy rustling leaves, as they lay scattered all about.

I especially like the top photo with the red veins.

  19. I LOVE this time of year and it interests me that your mom's foliage season is just a tiny bit behind the season in my part of Ontario. I NEVER would have guessed that!

  25. I never noticed how the leaves turn color from the inside out at the ribs. I assume these are from the Mountaineer state, at a lower latitude, although the colors are just turning up here in Southern New England. Wild Wonderful West Virginia...and it truly is!
