The dark cloud on the right is smoke from the exhaust of whatever truck was pulling the sled at the time I took the image of the sun.
This image was taken about fifteen minutes later when the sun had dropped below the first of the two electric wires that were in the way of a perfect view. They are pretty faint in this image so I really don't mind them being there. It was amazing how the colors in the sky changed so quickly in that short period of time.
Both beautiful shots of the sun. I'm always awed by the colors the sky creates. The range is awesome and always amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe sky in that second picture looks surreal. What planet did you say you were on?
ReplyDeleteOh, wait! I get it. A romantic sunset to sooth the hearts of all the women that didn't want to go to the truck pull. I wonder whose husband had the clout to pull that off? ;)
Gorgeous pictures, as we've pretty much come to expect from you.
Very pretty, I didn't even see the wires until you pointed them out.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things is to capture what God has painted...just as you did here. Lovely images.

ReplyDeleteWow, two beautiful shots! You did good! I love watching the sunset and how quickly it all changes.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Carletta! One would think it is two different sunsets. Beautifully captured.
ReplyDeleteThe lines aren't bad at all in that bottom shot of the sun. In fact, I wish there were three more lines, so that you the sun would be seen as a musical note! (Lines =E,G,B,D & F)
ReplyDeleteIn the evenings, the skies can change very quick.
ReplyDeleteTerrific shots... the power lines don't distract at all and are easily overlooked. I really like the carousel horse, too!
ReplyDeletewow. i just love the shot.
ReplyDeleteif not for the smoke belching, i could just sit there and stare as the sun sets.
have a pleasant day and thank you for also visiting my blog.
Ahhhhh--I am a sucker for sunset or sunrise pictures. These are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites is always sun rise or sun set! It is amazing to see how the sky changes colors in the whole process.
ReplyDeleteThe second of the two sunset photos is quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe second shot is what I love the most...when the soft pinks and blues merge!!
ReplyDeleteNothing more majestic than a sunset -ALL sunsets!!
