What A Difference A Day Makes
Yesterday afternoon on a trip out to the store after hours of rain I thought about the two water tanks in the photo below. Before I could get that far the skies opened up again as you can see in the above photo. The water tanks in the photo below would be on the right side of this photo just out of view.
Today was a much better day! After three inches of rain and rising waters this was a lovely site to see. I am participating in a project called Project Blue so I'm combining that and Skywatch today with the beautiful blue skies and the blue water towers.
These are all nice skys and your photography is really nice to see. A great Sky Watch set of photos.
ReplyDeleteThese are all very nice. I guess the towers will stay plenty full for a while!
ReplyDeleteTruly... what a difference a day can make.
ReplyDeleteGreat Sky Watch Blue photos!! I love the rain on the windshield!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blue skies after the rain. Lovely Carletta! :)
ReplyDeleteCarletta: Very cool post and way to sneak in two Memes.
ReplyDeleteAnd wee have the sun these days :-)
ReplyDeleteBut it is almost to hot..., just sitting and drinking wather. Strange to be Norway.
Nice pictures.
I did a post earlier today titled Around the bend. Nice Post here.
ReplyDeleteThose are nice big fat water towers! You know I love water towers!
ReplyDeleteCarletta, what lovely photos you have here.
ReplyDeleteThe one with raindrops is very nice!
I like all these, Carletta, but that first one makes me feel like I am in the vehicle with you!
ReplyDeletegreat pictures and great catch.
ReplyDeleteGlad the sun finally came through. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful, their photos. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteHi Carletta, great pictures and thoughtful post as always... :O)
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely series for SWF! Nice skys, at least in the last two!
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much rain was coming down and then such a difference in weather... like night and day. But I love the photo of the raindrops... that's pretty.
ReplyDeleteRocky Mountain Retreat
Great series of photos. It's nice to see a blue sky after rain.
ReplyDeleteGreat SWF.
Our sky is wet.
Come visit,
Troy and Martha
A big difference.
ReplyDeleteNice series. :)
Rain or shine the skies give us variety.
ReplyDeleteA great set of images and how the sky changes.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree how quickly the sky changes its colors and shades. I liked the first shot with water droplets.
ReplyDeleteThe sky photos say it all. Light blue to bright blue to gray rain cloud blue. Fortunately the blue water towers can hold a lot of rain water.
ReplyDeleteI like the fire pit too. I've always wanted one and a blue mosaic rim would be just perfect.
I'm normally not a fan of the rain. But this first image makes me reconsider. There is something soothing and relaxing about it. I keep coming back to look at it.
ReplyDeleteRegarding my comment earlier, I sure hope I didn't vent too much. I reread it and think I could have said it differently. I did not mean to put you in a defensive position at all. I think you understand I meant nothing mean spirited. I probably should not have vented on your space here.
Carletta, I love that song!!
ReplyDeleteYou always leave the sweetest comments...thanks for that.
Believe it or not, it was nice to see a rainy day photo for a change....
Cheers,
Scotty
I didn't know water towers still existed! Are they used?
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, girl!
I always say, just wait 24 hours and it will change :)
Great photos,I love the raindrops on your windscreen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat photo on the top. I look at that and it seems like I'm sitting there with you! Yes, I love barns just like Rose! Both of us have always loved photography and love to take pictures of barns. Every time I'm out driving anywhere I look for barns but seems like everytime I see one that I want to take a picture of someone's always on my bumper in a hurry. :)
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry it was raining... Here, Lisbon is getting warmer from day to day!!
ReplyDelete;-)
Wonderful post!!!
Now THAT wasn't the song I was expecting with your title! LOL! I love the rainy stormy shot! That is such a "me" shot! I was photographing water towers this week too -- but haven't decided if I want to use it for Sky Watch or hold out for a different color! We'll seeee!
ReplyDeleteIt raining cats and dog here at this time.
ReplyDeleteEven hail.
3 inches; how could you even see to drive? That shot is great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot and colors.
