I have to watch closely to catch the little song sparrows when they come to the feeder. The nearby wisteria branches seem to provide the perfect camoflaged surroundings.Linking to Wild Bird Wednesday.

Cute little Song Sparrows... I've seen them around here --but none much at my feeders. The finches have taken over the feeders lately.

These LBJ's (Little Brown Jobs, not the ex-president!) are great birds - when you pay attention to them they are just as good looking as their more showy cousins.

Nature at its finest...a well camouflaged sparrow...so bright and alert. Wisteria? Oh be still my heart. I'd love to have one of those in my backyard. ;o)

I often find myself in a pickle when it comes to identifying sparrows. There are so many and their appearance can be so similar.

I am resting from blogging at the moment... the one you commented is now looked after by my good friend Nancy...with the help of one or two others.
I'm not doing to bad health wise but I am having a few checks done.... I think since the last time we were in contact I have had another 2 heart attacks,suffered a stroke and had a pace-maker fitted... Sounds terrible but I have took in all with good humour and ty not to let it get me down to much... I have had to stop driving which meant the loss of my old faithful landrover... my son now as it. I can no longer get out and about as I did when my Wiggers World photo blog was up and running...
I'm happy to say we have been blessed with another grandson called Malakai... who we see nearly everyday.
All in all apart from my health all is well and good in Wiggers World.. ha!
I will get round to popping by again soon and catching up on your blogging.... so very nice you left me a message... xxx to you and yours.

Your birds seem to be more round and fluffy and cute compared to ours. I guess they look fat in winter when they are puffed up to keep warm.

Pristine detail! You found a way to be very close. No matter how hard I try, they always fly away. I don't want to surprise them, so I wave my hands to get their attention, then I shout, "Freeze! Don't move a muscle!" And yet, I just can't figure out how other photographers get closer than me.
