Pink Saturday With Today's Flowers

Above is a Christmas cactus that my Mom had presented to my daughter-in-law at Thanksgiving. When my DIL left for home she accidentally forgot the plant. I was lucky enough to see it bloom. Now if only I can keep the plant alive till I can return it to its rightful owner. :)

Mine bloomed like this and was so pretty. It has just lost it's blooms. I had a bright red one that bloomed for the first time this year. It truly was lovely to see.

My motto would be, "finders keepers, losers weeepers." :) It's too pretty to give back. If you tend to it, you have officially adopted it.

I bought 2 this year - one for me and one for my aunt. I am hoping mine will survive this year...hers will probably do fine because she babies every plant I take her! This is a pretty one you are taking care of...

I have one of these blooming right beside my computer. It doesn't get the right care but still blooms for me. I had another one that was a much darker color. This one also blooms at Easter.

I love the bright pink over the white! Such an exotic looking flower. Reminds me how much I am looking forward to spring! xx

That is so beautiful. Anytime I see one of those it takes me back to my childhood when my mom had one and had waited for several years for it to bloom and the best I remember it had one blossom on it and one of us kids broke it off accidentally. Needless to say mom wasn't very happy.

Beautiful Christmas cactus. I had one that looked just like that for around 15 years but one year I left it outside to long and it froze. I always took it outside in the summer and brought it inside in the fall but alas forget it one year.

It's beautiful! I remember the red one my mother had and ever since I have always had a soft spot for them. Thank you Carletta and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Carletta,
don't worry about your Christmas cactus, They are easy to take care of and need very little water.

It is gorgeous...mom had one. I can't remember just how she did it...but know she stored it in the basement where it didn't receive much light for a part of each year. It was to make it bloom at Christmas.
